From the Youth Jazz Festival at the beginning of summer to the Oktoberfest in the fall, the Mayors Committee for Special Events promotes tourism and community involvement in the City of Tonawanda.  Carl and Frank talk about these and many other events occurring in the City and share thoughts about the future.

We are joined today by Joe Furan from WNY Collectibles.  We talk about what's hot in collecting, what is the market like, how consignments are taken in and marketed, and some throw-backs to the past and some of our favourite collectibles.

Among our usual updates in and around the Canal Cities, we grab the story from the headlines about a true "David vs Goliath" story of a developer trying to aquire the historical property of a 93 year old great-grandmother, and the lengths they are willing to go to get their way.  Interesting, heart-breaking all in the face of a hearwarming woman and her family, fighting to keep the home that has been in their family since the Civil War.
